Discovery Charter School is a STEM based middle school with 500 students and 35 staff members in Durham County, N.C. The new school will consist of four classroom buildings that are 10,500 square feet each, and one 12,000 square-foot gymnasium connected by a large network of sidewalks. This 49 acre site will also hold a soccer field, 78 parking spaces and 15 bike racks. There is no public water or sewer in the area, so there will also be a six acre septic system installed on the property. Summit is providing civil/site design and permitting services, surveying and construction materials testing.
