This project consists of new construction of a one-story 12,802 SF fire station and supporting drive lanes, parking lot and hardscapes. This new fire station is located 421 Clanton Road in Charlotte. The facility will include construction of a new 3-bay fire station with offices, exercise room, kitchen, living quarters, sleeping quarters, toilet and shower facilities, and enclosed apparatus bay for emergency vehicle parking. Construction primarily consisted of: utility installation and re-location, earthwork grading, typical shallow foundations, reinforced concrete, IFC masonry load bearing walls, structural steel framing, concrete and asphalt paving and hardscapes. Construction is underway and substantial completion for the project was in June 2020.

Burke County selected us to provide materials testing and Special Inspections for their 70,969-square-foot, 2-story county jail facility. The booking/kitchen wing is a one-story steel frame construction with load bearing exterior masonry walls, interior unprotected steel tube columns, open web steel roof joists and metal roof deck.
