Our ITS/Traffic Engineering team has a large role in the modernization and expansion of the Burlington-Graham computerized traffic signal system which includes new controller and cabinet assemblies at approximately 203 signals. Summit performed traffic signal cabinet inventories, traffic signal designs and electrical programming details for 2070LX controllers using ASC/3 software at 5 locations. Additionally, Summit is performing QA/QC reviews on utility make-ready plans, CCTV camera technical reports, construction plans and specifications. We also conduct CCTV camera electrical service field investigations and utility coordination at all new locations.
We are part of a Team to design the rehabilitation and expansion of the Greenville Traffic Signal System. The project consists of 155 signalized intersections, 24 CCTV cameras, and 58 miles of fiber optic cable. Summit Design and Engineering will be designing the entire Ethernet-base, single mode fiber optic communications system, CCTV camera system and 14 traffic signal plans.
Our ITS/Traffic Engineering team completed a traffic signal design, electrical programming detail, communications cable routing plan and fiber optic splice detail for the intersection of Ramsey Street and Eastwood Avenue (06-1178) in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Work includes performing field investigations and coordination with utility agencies to determine placement of traffic signal metal poles.
