INDUSTRIAL COATINGS

Summit has started a Coatings Inspection Department. Coatings inspection is becoming a large industry due to the estimated $276 billion dollars in direct costs of corrosion in the U.S. transportation industry. Coatings that are correctly applied to steel and concrete structures maximize the service life of those structures. Our team, led by Kerry Corley PCS, MCI, consists of NACE and SSPC certified coatings professionals with an extensive background and wealth of knowledge in the coatings industry.

Summit has already begun bridge rehabilitation projects for NCDOT. Our team of inspectors have worked on coatings projects ranging from $86 million to $400,000. We are currently working on a high-profile project on the Biltmore Estate that consists of 12 bridges.
