Highway Maintenance for the NCDOT Highway Maintenance Improvement Plan - Services provided include Maintenance Management.

Our team currently assists NCDOT with their Highway Maintenance Improvement Plan. This is a 5-year highway resurfacing plan that identifies the routes that will be treated in some manner over the next 5 years. The maintenance management team collects field data for contract administration and determines the best treatment for each route prior to contract advertisement and award. Summit offers the ability to develop resurfacing contracts from field collection to documentation ready for advertisement, bid and award.

Pavement assessment on North Carolina roadways - Services provided include Maintenance Management

Our maintenance management team has provided Pavement Condition Assessments for multiple municipalities throughout North Carolina. Our clients have included the Town of Hillsborough, Wake Forest, Carthage and Louisburg. Our team has the ability to provide assessments based on pavement distresses and determine the best course of action to improve or extend the life of the highway.

Our team assists NCDOT with their Routine Maintenance Improvement Plan. This is a 3 to 5 year plan identifying specific highway maintenance needs based on budget, location, traffic volumes and other criteria. With these plans, NCDOT is able to provide long term maintenance cycles and budget forecasting needs. These plans also simplify the ability to incorporate service contracts for specific tasks such as ditching and pipe replacement as well as administration of such contracts.
