Summit provided both contract administration and inspection services on this municipal project while utilizing ESP Associates, P.A. to provide materials sampling and testing. This project started with the demolition of a 95-year-old, fivespan bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad. A 150-foot, single-span structure was constructed to replace the deteriorated bridge and allow for future railroad track additions. We monitored all construction operations providing daily field reports; materials received reports and pay estimates, as well as sampling and testing of all materials in accordance with NCDOT requirements. Our contract administration duties included but were not limited to bid tabulations, facilitating project meetings, coordinating submittal distribution, monitoring DBE participation, change orders and pay application approval and processing.
