Our Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections department provided Special Inspection services for the UNC Media and Communications building on UNC Chapel Hill’s Campus. This building is a two-story, 13,643 SF addition to the existing Koury Natatorium building. Our team was proud to be a part of the UNC Media and Communications project that was built to offer student journalists on campus both real-world content creation and production experience.

We provided Special Inspections services for this project consisting of performing observations and testing related to earthwork and grading, backfill compaction testing, proof-rolling observations, subgrade evaluations, reinforced concrete testing and asphalt paving operations.
We are the Geotechnical Engineer and Special Inspector of Record for the new Plant Sciences Building on NC State University’s Centennial Campus. The $160,200,000, five-story, 199,000-square-foot building will contain research labs, office space, corporate lab/office suites, atrium space, conference space and rooftop greenhouses.
We provided Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections services for a 516,600 SF condominium and apartment complex in Chapel Hill, NC. Our services were all handled in-house, including utilizing our own state-of-the-industry testing lab in Hillsborough, NC.
