Waterstone, located in Hillsborough, is a 330 mixed-use development. Waterstone Estates, a single-family neighborhood with 139 homes, and Waterstone Terraces, a 114-unit townhome neighborhood, will provide housing in the area. Waterstone is also the home of Durham Tech Community College and the UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus.
Our Architecture department designed the restroom facilities in the public park of this community. The restroom facility was designed using all exposed glue laminated wood frame construction, steel joinery, and cedar tongue and groove siding. Our Construction Management team was responsible for the project management services.
We were the prime consultant on the Town of Hillsborough’s Riverwalk, a collection of urban greenways along the historic Eno River that total 1.8 miles. The Riverwalk is popular for walking, jogging and cycling, and it provides pedestrian connections between local neighborhoods and downtown.
We provided both contract administration and inspection services on this municipal project. The original five-span Mickley Avenue bridge had significantly deteriorated after 95 years of use. The original bridge was replaced with a 150-foot, single-span structure.
Our team provided on-call CEI and Construction Management services to the Town of Pittsboro for the construction of the Freedom Parkway Extension Culvert. This extension is a part of the new Chatham Park Community that when complete will be over 7,000 acres of housing, retail, recreation, and offices.
